Enjoy the space and luxury of this newly built log cabin..fully self contained and private, set at the edge of the Echoland Forest, in the beautiful village of Hakuba, Nagano….home to the premier events of the 1998 Winter Olympics.
Whether visiting us for the Winter Season, and the excitement of having the snow at your doorstep, or for the cool refreshing Summer Season, Kenman House gives you space and the cozy warmth of a log cabin for up to 6 people at a very affordable price. Also this house offers you to stay with your pet!
The cabin has everything you need, for a cozy winter evening enjoying a home made
dinner in the fully equipped kitchen/diner…or sitting in front of the large TV watching
a movie….or a summer evening BBQ out in spacious garden area.
The covered entry way opens into a lobby with a ski storage and dry room area and also into the open plan living dining kitchen …with everything you will need.
The new kitchen has modern appliances with a gas stove top, grill, microwave and a dining table. The living room is furnished with comfy sofa’s, plenty of space for everyone to relax. In the bathroom there is a full bathtub and standing shower space, vanity and laundry space, with a fully automatic washer/dryer, and a separate toilet. There is also a double bedroom with two single beds that can be set together to make a queen bed.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms with two single beds, one of the rooms can be set together to make a queen bed. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and have heating so you can stay nice and toasty even on the coldest of nights.
Kenman House has a large flat screen TV with cable TV and Apple TV.
The entire cabin has high speed broadband WiFi, perfect for staying connected with your own laptop iPad or smartphone.
Shuttle buses are just a few minutes walk away, departing from the nearby Echoland Base Camp for all the major ski resorts: Happo-one, Iwatake, Hakuba47 and Goryu.

About the rate
- minimum number of nights: 3 nights (December-March), 2 nights (April-November)
- Rate for up to 6 ppl. (children and infants included)
Extra futons can be arranged to sleep up to 8 ppl.
(¥5,500 Yen for 1 extra futon per night including linen/towel set – can be booked as an add-on with the property)
- 10% Sales tax is included in the rate.
- 5% Booking fee will be applied to the total accommodation cost.
- Payment method:
For bookings from December to March, payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer in your local currency (The currency will be automatically selected by your home address) by a payment system provided by Flywire, or by PayPal.
From April to November, payments can be made by credit card only. - Damage security pre-authorization:
At check-in, you will be required to sign a credit card pre-authorization form to cover the cost of any damage to the property during your stay.
Payment schedule
- From December to March, 50% of the total amount is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date.
From April to November, please register your credit card details at the time of booking, and 10 days prior to the arrival date, the total amount will be charged to the registered card (If your arrival date is within 10 days, we will charge you within a few days of your booking.)
Cancellation Policy
- From December to March, 100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date or earlier (Please note that teh booking fee is non-refundable), 0% refundable if cancelled after.
From April to November, for cancellation after 10 days prior to arrival date, there will be 100% cancellation fee.
