Come and enjoy the convenience and location of our spacious, self catering, self contained property set in the woods just above Echoland, in the beautiful village of Hakuba, Nagano….home to the premier events of the 1998 Winter Olympics.
For the Winter Season, with the excitement of having the snow at your doorstep, or for the cool refreshing Summer Season, Sumi Villa offers space and comfort for up to 9 people with 4 bedrooms at a very affordable price. It is great for a family with kids, or a group of friends.

The covered entry way opens into a lobby with a ski storage and dry room area and also into the open plan living dining kitchen …with everything you will need.
The new kitchen has modern appliances with a gas stove top, grill, microwave and a dining table. The living room is furnished with comfy sofa’s, plenty of space for everyone to relax.
In the bathroom there is a full bathtub and standing shower space, vanity and laundry space, with a fully automatic washer/dryer. There is also a Japanese Tatami room that is set with two futon beds.
Heading upstairs are three more bedrooms. The family room has a queen bed, two singles and its own walk in closet. Both the double bedroom has a double bed, and the single room a single bed, both have built in closets.
All the rooms are beautifully decorated and have heating so you can stay nice and toasty even on the coldest of nights.
※Please note that although a large air-conditioning unit has been installed in the living-dining room, there are no air-conditioning units in the bedrooms for summer (there are fans available).
Sumi Villa has a large flat screen TV with cable TV.
The entire property has high speed broadband WiFi, perfect for staying connected with your own laptop iPad or smartphone.
It is just a short walk away from Echoland’s shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife…and the free snow shuttle to the slopes, departing from the nearby Echoland rotary or the Marriott Hotel for all the major ski resorts: Happo-one, Iwatake, Hakuba47 and Goryu.

About the rate
- minimum number of nights: 3 nights (December-March), 2 nights (April-November)
- Rate for up to 9 ppl. (children and infants included)
Extra futons can be arranged to sleep up to 11 ppl.
(¥5,500 Yen for 1 extra futon per night including linen/towel set – can be booked as an add-on with the property)
- 10% Sales tax is included in the rate.
- 5% Booking fee will be applied to the total accommodation cost.
- Payment method:
For bookings from December to March, payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer in your local currency (The currency will be automatically selected by your home address) by a payment system provided by Flywire, or by PayPal.
From April to November, payments can be made by credit card only. - Damage security pre-authorization:
At check-in, you will be required to sign a credit card pre-authorization form to cover the cost of any damage to the property during your stay.
Payment schedule
- From December to March, 50% of the total amount is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date.
From April to November, please register your credit card details at the time of booking, and 10 days prior to the arrival date, the total amount will be charged to the registered card (If your arrival date is within 10 days, we will charge you within a few days of your booking.)
Cancellation Policy
- From December to March, 100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date or earlier (Please note that teh booking fee is non-refundable), 0% refundable if cancelled after.
From April to November, for cancellation after 10 days prior to arrival date, there will be 100% cancellation fee.
