Swiss Chalet Hakuba
Enjoy the charm of this beautiful fully equipped log cabin in a discrete location, self contained on private grounds in the beautiful village of Hakuba, Japan. Whether visiting us in winter, and the excitement of having the snow at your doorstep, or in the cool refreshing summer, Swiss Chalet gives you space and the cozy warmth of a log cabin for up to 8 people.
The cabin has everything you need, for a cozy winter evening enjoying a home made dinner in the fully equipped kitchen/diner…or sitting in front of the large TV watching a movie…or a summer evening BBQ out in spacious garden area.
The covered entry way opens into a lobby and then through into the open plan living dining kitchen …with everything you will need. For winter season, there is a second basement entrance with a spacious ski storage area and drying room.
The new kitchen has modern appliances with a gas stove top, grill, microwave . The living/dining room is furnished with a comfy sofa and a dining table for 8, plenty of space for everyone to relax.
In the bathroom there is a full bathtub and standing shower space, vanity and laundry space, with a fully automatic washing machine, and a separate toilet.
Downstairs there is also a bunk bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, perfect for the kids.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with two single beds, and one with a double bed. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and have heating so you can stay nice and toasty even on the coldest of nights.
The second living room upstairs offers you an extra space for your enjoyable time with your families and friends.
Swiss Chalet Hakuba has a large flat screen TV with Netflix and video service.
The entire cabin has high speed broadband WiFi, perfect for staying connected with your own laptop iPad or smartphone.
This chalet also offers a large storage space for your ski/snowboard gears in the winter, and the large grass garden in front of the house makes it a perfect place for you to enjoy BBQ!
If you don’t have a car, the chalet is a 2 min walk from the Goryu bus stop and walking distance to restaurants and shops, easy walk to the Escal plaza and the lifts of the Goryu resort. Other shuttle buses are also accessible from Goryu to go to other ski resorts in Hakuba.

About the rate
- minimum number of nights: 3 nights (December-March), 2 nights (April-November)
- Rate for up to 8 ppl. (children and infants included).
Extra futons can be arranged to sleep up to 10 ppl. per unit
(¥5,500 Yen for 1 extra futon per night including linen/towel set – can be booked as an add-on with the property)
- 10% Sales tax is included in the rate.
- 5% Booking fee will be applied to the total accommodation cost.
- Payment method:
For bookings from December to March, payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer in your local currency (The currency will be automatically selected by your home address) by a payment system provided by Flywire, or by PayPal.
From April to November, payments can be made by credit card only. - Damage security pre-authorization:
At check-in, you will be required to sign a credit card pre-authorization form to cover the cost of any damage to the property during your stay.
Payment schedule
- From December to March, 50% of the total amount is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date.
From April to November, please register your credit card details at the time of booking, and 10 days prior to the arrival date, the total amount will be charged to the registered card (If your arrival date is within 10 days, we will charge you within a few days of your booking.)
Cancellation Policy
- From December to March, 100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date or earlier (Please note that teh booking fee is non-refundable), 0% refundable if cancelled after.
From April to November, for cancellation after 10 days prior to arrival date, there will be 100% cancellation fee.
