Enjoy the charm of our self catering, self contained house set in the heart of the Echoland Forest, in the beautiful village of Hakuba, Nagano..home to the premier events of the 1998 Winter Olympics.
Whether visiting us for the Winter Season, and the excitement of having the snow at your doorstep every morning, or for the cool refreshing Summer Season, Villa Shizen is a very spacious elegant accommodation with everything you’ll need for great snow holiday for up to 10 people.

Villa Shizen is a stylish, comforting, newly renovated, modern five bedroom self catering, self contained chalet set in the woods of Echoland just off the main street. It is just a short walk away from Echoland’s bars, restaurants and nightlight… and the free snow shuttle to the slopes. And there is a bakery & sweets shop right next to the chalet!

The chalet is great for a family with kids, or a group of friends and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people in the very spacious five twin bedrooms (we can add one extra futon in each bedroom, so if you have more than 10 guests, please inquire).

The entry has a storage room for ski/snowboard gears with plenty of space to store your equipments, and opens into a lobby area and then into an open plan spacious living dining area with a large flat screen TV and stereo system.
The chalet is beautifully furnished with plenty of space for everyone to relax, plenty of sofa space and a large dining table to be seated around delicious meals.
The windows and the glass slide doors bring in abundant sunlight, and there is a deck space just outside the dining room to enjoy the fresh air.
The kitchen with a counter with 3 seatings has modern appliances with a gas stove top, microwave, oven, fridge freezer and all the kitchen utensils you will need.
Behind the kitchen is a second living room with a flast screen TV and a comforable L shapes sofa that could be used as a space for your kids to enjoy as a play room.
On the ground floor, there are two large bathrooms each with a large bathtub standing shower space, and a spacious changing space with vanity and shelves just like the hot-springs (onsens) in Japan. There are also seperate toilets with a vanity, one for the ladies and two for the men.

Heading upstairs there are five spacious double bedrooms that can be set as two singles or pushed together to make a queen bed.
Although all the bedrooms are set with comfortable beds as well as a small private seating space and a wardrobe, three of the bedrooms are Japanese style bedrooms with Tatami, and the other three are western style bedrooms.
All the rooms have an air conditioned to make sure you can stay nice and toasty even on the coldest of nights in winter, and also relax comforable on the hot days in summer.
There are a total of 4 toilets and 2 large vanity space with 5 sinks upstairs.

The TVs in Villa Shizen are smart TVs to enjoy different applications such as Netflix and Youtube, and the entire house has high speed broadband WiFi, perfect for staying connected with your own laptop or smartphone.

In the summer, you can enjoy BBQ on the deck area next to the dining room, and also relax on the 2nd deck area behind the house with comfortable outdoor sofas and a roof.

Shuttle buses are just a few minutes walk away, departing from the nearby Echoland rotary for all the major ski resorts: Happo-one, Iwatake, Hakuba47 and Goryu.
