Yama House Hakuba is a stylish, newly furnished, modern five bedroom self catering, self contained ski chalet set in the heart Echoland.
Just a short walk away from Echoland’s shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife…and the free snow shuttle to the slopes, a 5 minute ride away.
The chalet is great for a family with kids, or a group of friends, and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people in the four bedrooms and Japanese Tatami room.
For the winter season, the entry way from under the double car port opens into a lower lobby area with ski storage and drying space… Up into the main house, off to the left of the main hallway is the living/dining/kitchen space.
The living room is beautifully furnished with modern sofa’s and dining for everyone to relax, and a couple of breakfast stool at the kitchen counter.
Off to the right of the entry hall is the Japanese Tatami room with two futon beds, at the end of the hall is a separate toilet and full bathroom, with a bathtub/shower and also a modern free standing shower unit.
Heading upstairs there is another toilet/shower room and four double bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed or the room can be set as 2 singles.
Bedroom 2 & 3 have two single beds, and Bedroom 4 also has a queen that can be set as 2 singles.
All the rooms have heating so you can stay nice and toasty even on the coldest of nights.
Please note that for summer, the air condioner is only available in the living room. Fans are provided in the bedrooms.
Yama House has a large flat screen TV with cable TV and Apple TV.
The entire chalet has high speed broadband WiFi, perfect for staying connected with your own laptop or smartphone.
Shuttle buses are just a few minutes walk away, departing from the nearby Echoland main street for all the major ski resorts: Happo-one, Iwatake, Hakuba47 and Goryu.

About the rate
- minimum number of nights: 3 nights (December-March), 2 nights (April-November)
- Rate for up to 10 ppl. (children and infants included)
Extra futons can be arranged to sleep up to 12 ppl.
(¥5,500 Yen for 1 extra futon per night including linen/towel set – can be booked as an add-on with the property)
- 10% Sales tax is included in the rate.
- 5% Booking fee will be applied to the total accommodation cost.
- Payment method:
For bookings from December to March, payments can be made by credit card or bank transfer in your local currency (The currency will be automatically selected by your home address) by a payment system provided by Flywire, or by PayPal.
From April to November, payments can be made by credit card only. - Damage security pre-authorization:
At check-in, you will be required to sign a credit card pre-authorization form to cover the cost of any damage to the property during your stay.
Payment schedule
- From December to March, 50% of the total amount is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the arrival date.
From April to November, please register your credit card details at the time of booking, and 10 days prior to the arrival date, the total amount will be charged to the registered card (If your arrival date is within 10 days, we will charge you within a few days of your booking.)
Cancellation Policy
- From December to March, 100% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date or earlier (Please note that teh booking fee is non-refundable), 0% refundable if cancelled after.
From April to November, for cancellation after 10 days prior to arrival date, there will be 100% cancellation fee.
